Hi April,
Thank you so very much for participating in our "Author's Garden Party". We have only received positive comments from all of our attendees and the members of the NCAAWA. You each brought a different prospective and experience to the event. I was at a music concert last night and one of the guest had also been at our garden party. She told me that she had brought her 16 year niece with her who was thinking about journalism, and after hearing you she now definitely wants, and believes she can, be a writer. This gave me great joy to hear - I love for young people to look at their future with a "can do" attitude. Thank you for being a very important contributor to our "Authors' Garden Party". I originally heard April Mahoney's poetry performed in concert. I went home and was immediately inspired to write poetry of my own. After I read her collection, the same thing happened. I was inspired by her beautiful word mastery and I am sure you will be too.
